We
recommend our customers to have their timepieces’ battery
changed every 2 years regardless of whether it is working or
not. This is
because ALL batteries will leak with time. When such leakage
happens, the acidic discharge usually seeps into the timepiece, causing
irreversible
damage to the
quartz movement and other parts of the timepiece.
It can be easily avoided by having the
battery changed periodically. |

A watch will routinely require a
full service every 3 to 5 years, or because of a malfunction
How
do i know my watch is due for servicing?
This
takes about 2 weeks, due to the number of stages that are involved.
They
include:
- Dismantling of watch movement
- Cleaning of the movement (using
special chemicals & watch cleaning machines)
- Replacement of damaged or worn
parts & reassembly
- Lubrication & adjustment of the movement
- Replacement
of battery (for
quartz watches)
- Water-proof check (replacement of
the gasket, if necessary)
- Ultrasonic cleaning (to remove all the dirt & grime accumulated)
- Polishing of the watch case
& bracelet
- Monitoring
of the watch, making
sure it's performing to the manufacturer's specifications
We
offer Express Servicing of Timepieces (ready in 1 week). It
would require an additional 10% to 20% of
the normal servicing cost.
